We serve God by growing in faith through the study of His Word, creating eternal relationships as we gather together, and making use of our God-given gifts to serve in our church and community.
As a part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), we preach the good news of God's plan of salvation through Jesus Christ our Savior in the Lutheran tradition.

God doesn't change, and neither does his Word. In one collection of 66 books, God tells us all we need to know about his work to save the world he created from the curse of sin. This was completed with Jesus' death on the cross, and Jesus' work was proven through his resurrection. Saving faith comes only through hearing the Word of God and believing it through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Our church is made up of individuals at every age and life stage, including little ones. Families worship together every week, and children are an active part of our services. Sunday School offers age-appropriate Bible instruction. Whether you're joining us with a newborn, grade-schoolers, or young adult children, we aim to provide truth and peace in every life season.
Pastor Paul Kolander has been called by the Lord to serve His flock at The Springs by leading Christian worship and service. Pastor Kolander grew up in Wisconsin. He has received degrees from Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI, Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin in 2016. His ministry has been spent in Nevada serving in Henderson for the first four years of his ministry and has been in Sparks ever since.
Pastor Kolander is married to his wonderful wife Laura and has four children. As a family they enjoy hiking, traveling, and watching football. Pastor Kolander is charged to faithfully feed the members of this congregation with a solid diet of Word and Sacrament. Nourished by these means of grace, God's people will naturally seek to build up the kingdom of their Lord. He would love to talk to you more about the God of the Bible and the great things that God has done to give you forgiveness of sins, peace, and everlasting life.
